CME/CE Credits

  • Physician/PA/Nursing Home Administrator: The Southern Kentucky Area Health Education Center is accredited by the Kentucky Medical Association (KMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    The Southern Kentucky AHEC designates this enduring activity for a maximum of (seven (7) credits) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit).™ Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

    Nursing/KBN: Approved by KBN for 8.4 contact hours. Baptist Health Corbin is an approved institutional provider of continuing education by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. KBN approval of an individual continuing education provider does not constitute

    Pharmacy: This program has been approved for 6 hours by the KY Board of Pharmacy for pharmacy credit. 

    Dietitian: This program has been approved by the Commission for Dietetic Registration. 

    Dentistry: This program has been approved by the Southern Kentucky AHEC.

    Respiratory: This program has been approved by the American Association for Respiratory Care for credit. 

    Radiology: This program has been approved for 6 hours by the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy for credit. 

    Sonographer: This program has been approved to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers for credit. 

    EMT/Paramedic: This program has been approved by the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services for CE credit.

     

    Physical Therapy: This program has been approved by the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association to provide continuing education credit to physical therapists and physical therapy assistants with a Kentucky license/certification.  This course is approved for 7 Category 1 contact hour(s).                         

    AAMA: This program has been approved by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) For Seven (7) Continuing Education Unit. 

    CHES Credit: Sponsored by Western Kentucky University Department of Public Health, a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.
