n important part of the mission of the Southern Kentucky AHEC is to provide
educational programs for our communities. These
programs are developed based on current needs and
address particular community health issues and
concerns.
The programs are designed to be as
interactive as possible with an emphasis on
prevention. Local as well as regional experts on
important topics such as nutrition, baby care, and
heart health are recruited to present to groups
ranging in size from a dozen to more than 200.
Some Southern AHEC Community Educational Programs
include the Cardiovascular Symposium, Diabetes
Symposium, Pulmonary Symposium, Women's Health
Forums, Ladies Nite Out and Babyfest.
